Check out Star Oilco's blog if you want to continue reading my posts

Back during the biofuels boom between 2005 and 2008, blogger was a blast.

I used this page as kind of a filing cabinet with my thoughts.  With all the rapidly occurring ideas that $2 to $4 and then an expectation of $7 diesel change was happening in real time.  Then in July 2008 the recession started. We saw petroleum prices collapse and many biofuel companies go with those high expectations for refined products prices as well.

Ten years ago renewable diesel from fischer-tropsch and hydrogenation processes were five years out.  It took ten years but they are hear now and I have no doubt they are the future.  Hydrocarbons it turns out will be the future of liquid fuels, their feedstocks though is what will change.

Recently I have moved my blogging to Star Oilco's website.  Given it's a company page I am less opinionated but still the relevant same information.  If you like reading this, you will probably find that blog equally as interesting.

See you over there and don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions about anything energy nerd related.
