Check it out in the Oregonian.....
If you didn't know. Recently the State of Oregon passed into law several huge investments in the biofuels sector.
A time limited support to farmers looking to grow feedstocks for biofuels. Giving Oregon's natural resource industries a little less risk as they approach these new non-food grade markets.
An expanded loan guarantee program for larger biofuel infrastructure programs.
An expansion of the popular Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) program to a 50% tax credit for biofuel and alternative fuel related capital investments.
A statewide Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) requiring biodiesel and ethanol be blended into Oregon's on road motor fuel supply. (NOTE: The statewide RFS is distinctly different than the city of Portland's own RFS which is already in effect).
